Wahoo KICKR trainers and TerraFlo

KICKR Core and KICKR are first-class smart trainers for TerraFlo — measured power drives the video, and route grade can shape resistance where supported.

Where this family stands

Wahoo's KICKR family is one of the reference smart-trainer setups for TerraFlo. Your measured power feeds a physics model that includes the route's true grade, your weight, rolling resistance, and momentum — so a climb feels like the road that was filmed, and descents ease off the way a road does, where equipment and platform support it.

Ride feel depends on model, firmware, and calibration, and TerraFlo verifies what your trainer accepts during pairing before any control is exercised.

What happens when you pair

Brand names orient; pairing decides. TerraFlo interrogates the machine in front of it — which telemetry it sends, which controls it accepts, and where its limits are — and adapts the workout to fit.

If your Wahoo model doesn't respond during pairing, register for beta with the exact model name — real setups drive the compatibility roadmap.

Guided first pairing

TerraFlo checks what your trainer exposes — power, speed, and which control paths it accepts — before any resistance control is used.

Route-true ride feel

Measured power, real route grade, and momentum shape resistance where supported — climbs feel like the filmed road.

Your data stays yours

Completed sessions are private by default and can export to Strava, Apple Health, Health Connect, or TCX where supported.
