Ride TerraFlo routes on a Wahoo KICKR
Current KICKR trainers pair with third-party apps over Bluetooth. The Wahoo app is for firmware, not a gate on the ride.
Where this family stands
Wahoo’s current KICKR trainers and smart bikes talk to third-party apps over Bluetooth and ANT+, including Bluetooth FTMS and ANT+ FE-C. TerraFlo uses speed and power to pace the video, and can send grade or resistance when the trainer exposes that control.
You do not need the Wahoo app open to ride. Use it for setup and firmware. There is no hardware subscription.
Simulated grade is a machine spec: KICKR and MOVE +20% / −10%; CORE 2 +16% / −10%; KICKR BIKE family +20% / −15%. Flagship KICKR is rated ±1% and 2200 W. Race Mode’s 10 Hz path is Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth FTMS.

What happens when you pair
When you pair over Bluetooth, TerraFlo discovers which telemetry the machine sends, which controls it accepts, and where its limits are. It keeps learning that setup over time.
If your Wahoo model does not respond over Bluetooth, send the exact model name from the Beta page.
Grade-shaped resistance
Route grade can shape resistance on current KICKR trainers. Simulated grade percentages are machine specs, not TerraFlo-verified control.
Your data stays yours
Completed sessions are private by default and can export to Strava, Apple Health, Health Connect, or TCX where supported.
